河北省孝感市福利院老人捐赠羽绒服

经过多过一年的筹办，汤氏慈善基金终于在2016年12月9、10两天抵达离开武汉市一小时车程的孝感市附近多个福利院内无依无靠的独居老人派发寒衣送暖。这一次，我们得到香港中联办的何金晖处长的安排，又得到孝感市的共青团的高磊、肖璐、双喜、果果的鼎力支持和协助，才能完成这一大使命。对生活在贫穷线下的国内独居老人施以援手，我们各基金成员内心感到无限的光荣和骄傲。

 

这次行动由专程从美国三藩市返国基金会长汤美慈组队，成员包括管理财务的汤厚基、基金董事局成员汤振宇和他的太太汤黄志仪，还有迟来一天的主席汤复基，一共5人从香港出发飞抵武汉。我们非常感谢共青团的一切安排，包括按照汤是慈善基金的意愿，和我们一起把一共4千件，价值共20万美元的寒衣，派送给最需要的老人家。我也感谢内部的各位义务成员所作的安排，从寒衣的制定、招标、检测、托运、和其他所有细节，等等。

 

汤氏慈善基金创办人汤定华、汤启光兄弟，对我们这次对国家的善举，如果他们在生的话，一定感到无限的光荣和快慰。基金会关注国家贫穷的独居老人、留守流动流浪儿童、受天然灾害的一群、人才培训和教育等问题。在往后的几年内，我们希望朝者这几方面发展。

Winter Jackets Donation to Destitute Elderlies of Xiaogan City in Hebei Province  

After over a year of planning, on December 9th and 10th, the Tongs Charity has delivered over 4,000 pieces of the much-needed winter jackets to a number of the elderlies in the Xiao Gan city of Hubei Province. With no family members, they live under the poverty line in elderly homes provided by the city. The jackets have a total value of approximately of 200,000 USD.

 

We are grateful to He Jin-Hui of the Liaison Office of the Central Government to Hong Kong SAR; and Gao lei, Xiao Lu, Shuang Xi, and Guo Guo of the local Youth Volunteer Charity Organisation. This project could never have been accomplished without the help particularly from the Youth Volunteer Charity Organization and other volunteers. We sincerely appreciate their close support, such as in specifications, tendering, testing, qualifications, shipping and other necessary arrangement.

 

Helen flew back from San Francisco to lead this project. She was joint by John, Janyu, Jennie and Frank of the Tongs Charity from Hong Kong. Through this opportunity, they have got a glimpse of the general health and living conditions of these underprivileged members of the society.

 

The Tongs Charity has special interests in helping the elderly and education in China. It was founded by Dr. Eddy Tong and Prof. Tong Ting Wah. We are sure they would be very proud of what we have done for these elderlies if they are alive today.
